Austin began shooting weddings in 2010, when he was just 18 years old. Over the past 14 years his work has been seen by millions of people. Known for his “perfectly imperfect” style, and calming presence, he is one of the most sought after wedding filmmakers in the world today — often working alongside the world’s top photographers and planners.
In 2014, Austin took a brief hiatus from the wedding industry to spend time shooting local and worldwide campaigns for companies such as Apple, Visa, Patron, Don Julio, Toyota, Subaru, and many more. In 2016, he received an Emmy Award for his cinematography work on a documentary about the city of Los Angeles.
In 2018, Austin formed Kindly, and began taking on a select amount of weddings per year. He liked the idea of a slower paced life, spending more time with his family, and getting back to crafting films that people would cherish for a lifetime. He continues to be a leading innovative force in the wedding industry, taking on 10-15 select weddings per year.
